One Year

I am really late at posting this, but hey better late than never. Just wanted to recognize that Matt and I have past the year mark how cool is that. He is the besssssst.
Here is a couple photos from the past year. When I say a couple I really mean a coulple as in two.
At Matt's cabin picking out a Christmas tree. I mean seriously how cute is that.

This is me on one of our first dates. Matt invited me to watch his football game, then we went to a friends house and had some pizza. Thanks Jill and Scott for making me feel so welcome even on the first day I met you guys. (Ps. I miss my blonde hair)

Lava Hot Springs

So Matt, Natalie and I decided to take advantage of this hot weather because you never know how long it will last, and we went to Lava. It was so much fun they got some new slides in, and the weather was so nice. If any of you have ever been there they have these platforms that are so high. It took me three attempts, plus Matt pushing me to finally go off the lowest one...ridiculous. Of course Matt goes off the highest one...running...into a gainer. No big deal right. Wrong. I wouldn't jump off that thing if you paid me. Well just so you believe me we took some videos, there is one of his first attempt and second.

If you haven't been to lava here is a pic showing how high these platforms are. I mean seriously.

First Attempt

Second Attempt

We had a blast it was so much fun to just hang out in the sun, even though we are a bit crispy now, but it was worth it.

Up to Date

Here is a more up to date picture to add to my previous post. This is the outside of the house now. Amazing how much they have done!

Two More Weeks!!

School is winding down thank goodness. I am in need of some serious motivation to end the semester. Its so hard to keep that drive to go to class when its summer, everyone is going on road trips and staying up late, and I can't join in! Any words of encouragement would be awesome.

As for my picture of the week I thought I would show everyone some of the things that Matt has been working on over the summer break. It is amazing what he can do from scratch. All he does it draw something up and get started its crazy.

For Father's day my mom asked him to build my dad a desk for the computer to sit on. It needed to match the other desk in the room, and fit exactly in the corner between the window and the wall. This is what he made in his garage in a couple days.

He brought it over to our house and after setting up everything in the office it looked so much better especially compared to what was in there before.

The next project that he has been spending the majority of his time on is at his parents house. I could set up a separate blog of what he has done on the house. To list a few of the things: move the stair case, raise the floor, vault the ceiling, took doors and windows out and cut new holes in the walls to relocate new ones, add a whole section to the house, built the deck, roof, arch way, corner pantry....all from scratch no plans! He and his dad have spent countless hours doing all this and I don't think anyone but them realize what kind of work it took to do all of it. Good job you guys you are a talented duo!

This is an old picture I will have to get one that has the finished result.
